Property Asset Manager – Assistant Finance Manager recruitment

Our client is a leading independent global asset management firm, which provides its institutional, retail and high net worth client clients with access to a skilled investment professionals covering a broad range of asset classes, including equities, fixed income, property and private capital.
Based in London the company is one of Europe’s largest investment managers with over £60billion in assets under management.
The business has been managing property assets for almost 50 years and has over £12billion of property under management in the form of both segregated mandates and pooled funds.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Working within the property side of the business (which covers Austria, France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Sweden and the UK) this is an outstanding opportunity for a part or newly qualified accountant to join the property finance team.
Reporting into the head of the department the primary focus will be to provide accounting support to the finance manager in respect of the European fund (approx. €1.2billion).
There will also be considerable liaison with and support for the fund team, as well as considerable interaction with the fund’s managing agents and business partners.

YOUR PROFILE

You will be ideally be a nearly or newly qualified accountant, with some property and fund accounting experience under their belt.
Some European property exposure (particularly around fund structuring) would also be a distinct advantage.
Experience of tax compliance and working with auditors will be a pre-requisite.
Strong interpersonal skills, combined with an understanding of commercial drivers and the ability to interact at all levels will also be key.
