PROPOSAL and SALES SUPPORT MANAGER – MARCH 2012

 

CogState Ltd is one of the world’s leading providers of computerized cognitive tests and traditional neuropsychological paper pencil tests for use in human research trials. CogState provides its products and services to pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and healthcare companies.

 

CogState Inc. is seeking a qualified and experienced individual to manage the proposal development process and assist the sales process by providing software demonstrations and capabilities presentations.

The position should ideally be based in our New Haven office to facilitate interactions with the operations group.

 

The successful candidate will have experience with the pharmaceutical development and clinical research process, demonstrated work ethics and team work in a professional environment, a special aptitude and interest in technical and scientific information, as well as a relevant education.

 

This role will require extensive interactions between operations colleagues located in CogState’s offices in New Haven, CT, and Science colleagues located remotely or in Melbourne Australia, as well as with pharmaceutical customers in the US, Europe and Asia.

 

The successful applicant will perform the following as their primary duties:

 

Primary duties:

·        Capture customer requirements, coordinate and attend client meetings (mostly by phone, some travel);

·        Perform detailed assessments of feasibility, timelines and costs, this process will involve extensive discussions with the science and operations and IT groups in the company, as well as interactions with third party providers to obtain additional information and quotes on sub workstreams (ex: translations, training systems, copyright licenses);

·       Write detailed project plans and budgets;

·        Prepare and deliver software demonstrations and capabilities presentations by phone, or in person;

·        Drive the reviews and subsequent iterative process of budget reviews and justifications;

·        Track and maintain pipeline forecasts, document templates; and

·        Maintain database of sales leads.

This position will require strong people and communication skills, and attention to details. Travel to US and Europe will be required, but not extensive. The successful candidate will have experience with contract services in clinical trials.

Minimum Master’s degree in a scientific discipline.

Being multilingual would be a big plus.

·         Demonstrated ability to work independently and to be proactive; and

·         High level of computer literacy.
