Job Description:
As a Proposal Manager, you will be responsible for creative and critical analysis (from capture through proposal production), managing the proposal process (from pre-RFP through development of of the compliance matrix, all color teams, and production), hands-on support of the proposal (e.g., facilitating meetings, writing/editing sections, reviewing drafts before they go out for review), and anything else required to create an A+ proposal. As Proposal Manager you must be flexible in mind and schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the proposal process from pre-RFP activities through final production and close out processes
- Participate in and facilitate pre-proposal capture activities; including facilitating team meetings, developing pre-RFP blue team and drafts
- Provide advice and assist in the entire process of creating proposals and qualification packages, from initiation of ideas through document completion
- Analyze RFP and develop outline, format, and final product working in consort with Technical Proposal Manager
- Manage to (and help develop) the schedule for all color reviews and final production
- Serve various functions, as required, throughout the proposal process (compliance matrix developer, theme meeting facilitator, section author, draft reviewer, red team reviewer, subcontractor interface, formatting manager, production supervisor)
- Develop proposal sections, as appropriate for non-technical areas, including management, past performance and staffing
- Identify potential for graphic input
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2 years of experience managing large government proposals
- 2 years experience with proposal preparation and production
- 5 years experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Experience supporting capture
- Proficiency with MS Project
