Position Description

The Information Solutions Business Capture function is responsible for overall business strategy execution for our part in the $32B Boeing Defense, Space Security (BDS) business within The Boeing Company. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of the Aerospace Defense industry and to participate in realizing new business for one of the most successful defense and security companies in the world. As a Proposal Manager, you will lead multi-disciplined teams in the preparation and delivery of compliant and compelling proposals for opportunities of the highest strategic importance to BDS. Candidates must be willing to travel 10% of the time and be willing to work 10% overtime over the course of a year.

The duties of this position will include, but are not limited to the following. You will have responsibility for all proposal documents to ensure compliance and responsiveness to the solicitation requirements. You will translate complex campaign and offer strategies into persuasive and compelling proposal documents with clear and cohesive themes, messages, and competitive discriminators. Your leadership responsibilities to proposal team will include developing and maintaining the proposal development plan and schedule, providing the overall vision and direction for developing the proposal in coordination with the Capture Team Leader, and monitoring compliance of the Proposal Team with applicable Boeing processes, PROs and best practices. You will also be expected to coach and mentor less experienced team members to ensure proposal process steps are executed correctly. You will clearly understand and communicate the Customer proposal evaluation process to the Team, provide the vision and chart the course for a winning competitive proposal. You will identify and acquire needed resources for the Proposal Team through coordination and close partnership with key Functional organizations throughout BDS, regardless of site, program, or business affiliations.
You will develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers, business partners, peers, and direct reports. You will have the responsibility to manage the job performance, career development and growth of your direct report employees.

For consideration, applicants MUST have an active/ current SSBI security clearance and include their security clearance level, investigation type and investigation date clearly on their resume. Minimum of 10 years experience with DOD/Intelligence customers as well as other federal and international customers. Commercial proposal experience desired as is experience with Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) procurements. Should be familiar with current and emerging information solutions and cyber markets. New business acquisition knowledge and experience is essential to include US government, DoD, and international competitive campaign and proposal experience.
