PROPOSAL SPEC III

This position is responsible for managing and writing responses to basic and complex Commercial, Public Sector and Federal Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), capabilities and finalist presentations, off-the-shelf proposals, etc., under strict deadlines. This entails creating documents including pricing, proposals, standard program proposals and ad hoc documents for external and internal clients-often with very little lead-time. Projects are coordinated with sales representatives, SMEs, and others in multiple service centers. Manages projects independently and with adherence to detailed client specifications with nonnegotiable turnaround times. Extensive knowledge of the RFP process is preferred, as well as the ability to understand technical programs. The ability to express key selling points in clear, concise, compelling writing is required. In addition to working with senior managers at all levels of the company, the RFP Proposal Specialist III interacts with finance and sales staffs to integrate pricing into formal proposal documents, and interacts with product, marketing and sales staffs and subject matter experts to update product information and positioning and to customize proposals to the agreed-upon sales strategy.

Requirements:

Bachelors of English, Social Work or Health Related field. At least 7 years professional proposal development, project management and writing experience. Knowledge and working experience with healthcare is required. Knowledge and experience in a sales communication/marketing environment is required. Knowledge and working experience with ValueOptions preferred.
