Position Overview
We are currently seeking a professional to hold the role of Proposals Contract Manager, whereas the successful candidate will manage the commercial process of producing accurate cost estimates and tenders on major products for all of our product lines, all the way to receipt of contract where it will then be handed over to Operations. The successful candidate will have to have Proposals and Contract Management experience and have the skillset and experience to be able to manage a team of estimators.
This full-time permanent position will be based in Calgary, Alberta.
In this role you will:
- Manage estimating team, review, supervise, assign tasks and assemble major bids/proposals
- Negotiation of contract terms and conditions with Clients; as well as, prepare contracts and solutions for closing deals.
- In conjunction with the BD group, develop win strategy for projects, alternative solutions, logistics overview, competitor models and bid financials.
- Liaise with purchasing, operations and accounting to maintain up to date costing models and bidding databases.
- Review quarterly Lists pricing, Master Agreements and Distributors pricing
- Handover project to Operations Group for execution. Participate in Close-out reports.
Qualifications, Skills, Experience:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Engineering/Business
- Minimum of 6-10 years of comparable experience (4 must be in a comparable sector)
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer driven personality
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Experience preparing strategies utilizing honed analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) advanced computer skills
- Experience working in stressful situations with tight deadlines while multi-tasking
- Ability to work with and gain the respect of co-workers in a team environment
Assets:
Knowledge and experience in pipe coating and linings.
