Proposition (Product) Manager Job in Basildon, Home Counties UK

The role of Proposition (Product) Manager will have responsibility for Business Services Customer Proposition including product sales monitoring, product launch, maintenance and design within the life-cycle whilst working closely with all other stakeholders to identify problems and opportunities with the proposition, creating solutions and removing any blockages to the successful growth of the business.

The job holder will be responsible for:- Active management and input to product strategy. 

*     Interacting and liaising with a team of Product Managers across First Data and Lloyds Banking Group in the UK US      

*     Establishing product sales targets matrix for all sales teams and under noted products ensuring effective cascade, accurate monitoring and sales team’s performance via close liaison and influencing of relative sales managers. The product list and priorities will change from time to time.     

*     Close liaison with Marketing to ensure that collateral is up to date and creates maximum impact.     

*     Following industry trends, especially from a product opportunity perspective and making recommendations for new or product enhancements.     

*     Maximising product penetration to optimise customer retention with the job holder liaising closely with all customer facing stakeholders (Customer Retention/Portfolio team, Customer Services Helpline, Chargebacks, Credit Risk, Fraud, FDGL) to ensure that the customer proposition is maximised and product awareness is high throughout our shared services teams.     

*     The job-holder will also liaise closely with the Customer Services Officer in order to understand complaints and service trends and that the product range is being sold in a compliant manner whilst also identifying new product opportunities

Requirements for the role: 

*     A sound knowledge of Customer Proposition/Product Management principles     

*     A sound knowledge of all Card Acquiring activities including detailed back-office processes     

*     A genuine understanding of the interlinking relationships between Service, Customer Retention, Product Management (penetration)     

*     A genuine concern for Customer Service     

*     Good knowledge of industry rules and regulations     

*     Tremendous enthusiasm and energy     

*     Good knowledge of competitor positioning and product offerings
