Candidate:
You are a qualified Electrical Engineer with expertise in secondary protection relay applications. You will have proven demonstrated experience within this sector. You enjoy using your power knowledge and technical expertise to assist in ensuring client satisfaction at all times. This is a crucial role and you will need to be a competent Engineer who has the ability to work autonomously. You will be valued for your knowledge, design, troubleshooting skills and problem solving ability.
Position:
Reporting to the Senior Applications Engineer you will be responsible for assisting heavy industrial and utility clients with technical specifications and system design predominately on secondary protection systems. This will require knowledge of protection control for transformers, distribution, substations generators and motors. A knowledge of C/T and V/T ratios would be advantageous. You will also need exceptional communication skills as you will be required to train clients in the use of protection equipment.
Qualifications/Experience:
A Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and experience in power protection is essential. And a RPEQ/Chartered status would be advantageous. It is essential that you have extensive protection system experience as well as the ability to communicate with all levels of an organisation.
