In addition, the company owns and operates fuel and/or asphalt terminals in Alaska, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Texas and Wisconsin. Flint Hills owns an interest in base oils plant in Louisiana, and a biodiesel feedstock development company in California. In addition to sales offices in North America, the company has a sales presence in Switzerland, Hong Kong and Belgium to serve global customers.

Roles Responsibilities Expectations:

Perform routine corrective and preventative maintenance on refinery fixed equipment. Perform non-routine work as required including shutdown, turnaround, and startup activities. Must respond to call-outs when scheduled. Perform equipment repairs as planned and scheduled per applicable FHR procedures and standards. Identify, address and capture opportunities for reliability improvement cost and waste reduction through initiation of a work order request or verbal communication to the shift Production Leader or your General Maintenance Craft Advisor. Provide accurate and timely feedback on daily work schedule.  Document work progress and findings in Maximo. Total compliance with all of FHR'S policies and practices related to Environmental, Health, and Safety.
 
Work Experience Skills Required:
4 years of work experience in one of the following crafts: Boilermaker, Pipefitting, Pipe Welding, Valve Mechanic, or Heavy Equipment Operator
 
Education Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
 
Work Experience Skills Preferred: 
Ability to ready piping ISO’s, PID’s, piping specs.  Proficient in Microsoft Word
10 + years work experience in Boilermaker, Pipefitting, Pipe Welding, Valve Mechanic, or Heavy Equipment Operator
           
Education Preferred:
NCCER certification in Boilermaker, Pipefitting, Pipe Welding
 
This role is subject to the Transportation Workers Identification Credentialing (TWIC) rule and requires the successful candidate to obtain a TWIC identification badge, allowing for unescorted access to the facility within a specific time period.
