PT Visual Designer for Web Applications Job in New York 10010, New York US
TaskStream is seeking a visual designer with a passion for designing elegant and usable interfaces that showcase a deep understanding of the latest advances in interaction patterns and user-centric principles.
The visual designer will collaborate with product managers and user experience architects to develop and refine the look and feel of a large-scale educational web-based application and work closely with the software development and technical teams to stay current on web technologies and software standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare high-fidelity interface mockups for production based on functional specifications and wireframes
- Conceptualize and execute on design from sketch to finished product
- Maintain branding and consistency across all modules of the application
- Assist marketing team in creating business graphics, HTML emails, presentations and print materials
- Assist in creating interactive prototypes
Skills Required
- Demonstrated ability using color, typography and style to create simple, highly-usable web applications
- Strong knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator InDesign (Windows preferred)
- Advanced with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Experience
- 1-2 years of design experience with web-based applications
- Minimum BA in Fine Art, Graphic Design, Marketing or related field
- Experience designing for mobile and tablet applications strongly desired
- Print production experience a plus
