Public Finance Credit Risk Manager recruitment
Municipal/Public Finance Credit Risk Manager will be responsible for managing credit risk associated with the Municipal/Public Finance business within Global Credit Products. Areas of focus will be management reporting, limit exception reporting, assisting in managing the processes required to monitor, measure, analyze, and underwrite issuer credit risk and approving non-standard transactions for the Municipal/Public Finance business. The ideal candidate must be familiar with current market dynamics, credit risk issues and challenges related to Municipal Finance. The candidate must be able to demonstrate knowledge of Auction Rate Securities ("ARS"), Variable Rate Demand products ("VRDNs"), Tender Option Bond ("TOB") trusts, derivative products (swaps, investment agreements, total return swaps, credit default swaps), and the dynamics of underwriting, distribution and secondary trading, all of which are essential to perform the necessary duties. Key responsibilities will include report preparation and analysis, along with supporting risk systems development. This position is intended to grow in responsibility over time and will prepare the ideal candidate to take on additional responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have significant exposure to senior Capital Markets Origination, Structuring and Trading personnel and will coordinate with various support partners in Legal, Middle Office, Market Risk and Compliance. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working on transactions in a fast-paced capital markets/trading floor environment.

Mandatory requirements for this position:
Municipal/Public Finance experience is required: 3-5 years specific to Municipal/Public Finance and 7-10 years total in a capital markets finance or structuring environment. Relevant risk management experience is a plus
Knowledge of Auction Rate Securities ("ARS"), Variable Rate Demand products ("VRDNs"), Tender Option Bond ("TOB") trusts, derivative products (swaps, investment agreements, total return swaps, credit default swaps) and collateral management
The ideal candidate will demonstrate individual initiative, enjoy a fast paced work environment, display a sense of urgency and a desire to grow and assume increasing levels of responsibility
Competency in Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint is required, along with an ability to quickly learn new programs and applications
Candidate must have strong organizational, oral and written communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment and be able to communicate effectively with senior business and risk personnel
A finance or related undergraduate degree required. MBA/Masters a plus
