Public Relations Associate
Responsibilities
· Work with portfolio managers, marketing and other appropriate parties across the firm to write white papers, press releases, bylines in media and investor newsletters
· Assist with day-to-day PR work such as quote review, media inquiries and planning around media interviews of firm employees
· Help manage online presence including firm web site, social media and other online content
· Create, review and edit scripts for video presentations, media interviews and investor presentations
· Maintain CRM system for media contacts
· Various ad hoc activity relating to public, employee and investor relations
Qualifications
· 3-5 years of experience as a content writer at a public relations firm or a current reporter
· Financial services industry experience required
· Ability to deliver and write with short deadlines
· Dallas location/relocation is a must
· Because of the complex nature of the firm’s investment strategies, this individual is expected to have strong conceptual and analytical skills, ideally with knowledge of credit and structured products
· Excellent communication skills and ability to function well as part of a team
· BA/BS or related business degree from a well-regarded institution, MBA a plus
· The successful candidate must have a strong sense of pride, passion, ownership and personal accountability
