PUBLIC SECTOR AUDITOR
Immediate job requirement
Cardiff and surrounding areas - £18 - £23 an hour
Immediate requirement for an experience Public Sector auditor to undertake external audit role on a temporary basis.
The successful candidates will be required to work on both NHS and Central Government accounts audits across the South Wales region which will be within easy commute from Cardiff.
Main duties;
- To assist the team leader in effectively delivering audits in compliance with the Financial Audit Delivery Manual.
- Planning, executing and reporting financial and other audit work to government standards in a timely manner·
- Completing audit tasks, often as part of a larger audit project team, including the planning, organising and completion of assigned audits in line with these agreed procedures.
- Where appropriate to undertake some supervision or team leader activities.
Experience;
- Qualified or Part Qualified Account
- Good understanding of public sector audit and accounting issues ·
- Understanding of audit accounting standards and their application to the public sector, including emerging and technical issues.
- Efficient time management skills particularly able to work across a number of audits at any one time.
- Effective oral and written communication skills ·
- Very good analytical skills and the ability to demonstrate sound professional judgement.
- Ability to form and develop relationships with audited body officers.
- At least two three years experience of working within external Public Sector Audit
