Job description
The Data Modeler is responsible for successful delivery of maintenance, optimization, and expansion Data Warehouse Projects. This individual will operate on a development team, have exposure to the entire development lifecycle, and be asked to perform tasks that will cross the functional and technical aspects of the project. Key tasks will include: (1) architecting new database tables; (2) optimizing query performance; (3) producing ad-hoc reports from the DW; (4) investigating and resolving data anomalies; (5) coordinating efforts with the application development team; and (6) obtaining new data requirements from the client. The Data Modeler will also be responsible for technology design, build, test deployment efforts for various tools technology solutions. This individual provides hands-on technical knowledge as well as manages client relationships within context of individual role.

Preferred Candidates should have knowledge of data warehousing + source control + development lifecycle concepts, proficient in data management: using databases (MSSQL or Oracle); architecting data models; query optimization; composing ETL scripts/packages; and writing queries.

Position requires BS/BA Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Computer Information Systems. Candidates must be willing and able to travel 100% if needed.
