Public Sector BAO: SAS Programmer Job in Washington/Metro 20059, District Of Columbia US
Job description
This role is responsible for successful delivery of BAO Advanced Analytics solutions and services in a client consulting environment, and is an experienced consultant in the areas of statistics software. Typical tasks include defining the key business problems to be solved, formulating mathematical approaches to solve those problems, gathering of data to solve those problems, and finally developing analyzing/drawing conclusions giving the presentations.
Consultants will be located in an IBM office in the metropolitan area or at an IBM client site.
Generally projects and clients are within the Metro area and require very limited travel outside of the local area. However, some projects do require up to 100% travel for an extended period of time that is generally less than 1 year. Consultants are required to be flexible with their ability to travel and cannot refuse projects due to travel.

Required
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 2 years experience in using SAS statistical software or Standard Query Language (SQL)
- At least 1 year experience in quantitative analysis and problem solving
- Readiness to travel Up to 5 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
- U.S. citizenship required
- English: Fluent
Preferred
- Master's Degree
- At least 4 years experience in using SAS statistical software or Standard Query Language (SQL)
- At least 4 years experience in Advanced level degree prefered in an analytical discipline (Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, or similar)
- At least 3 years experience in quantitative analysis and problem solving
