PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR
CITY OF WOODLAND
Salary range: $6,194 to $7,546 month, plus excellent benefit package
Full-time exempt position
Plans, organizes, directs and controls the functions of the Public Works Department, which includes functions of engineering, streets, storm water, wastewater, parks, and public facilities. Also manages building, planning, land use, subdivision and zoning activities and code compliance. Must be able to effectively communicate with the public, contractors, staff, etc.
Must possess a WA State Professional Engineering license or ability to obtain one within one (1) year of employment. Bachelor s degree in engineering, with major coursework in civil, structural, or traffic engineering, and five year progressively responsible experience in engineering position, including three years of supervisory experience. Or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the job. Public works employees are required to reside within a 15 minute response time to City Hall as defined by the Mayor. See WMC 2.48.020.
