FMC Technologies, Inc. in Houston, Texas currently has an opening for a Pump/Rotating Machinery Engineer to define and specify requirements for pumps used in subsea boosting applications. Requires Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and two years of experience in oilfield pumps that includes knowledge of industry standards related to pumps; preparing and reviewing engineering drawings, technical specifications, and engineering calculations; performing manufacturing, assembly and testing of oilfield pumps; performing resolution of manufacturing, assembly and testing of oilfield pumps; and utilizing CAD software such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, Microstation and/or Siemens NX-6. In lieu of Master's degree and two years of experience, employer will accept Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and five year of progressive experience in oilfield pumps that includes knowledge of industry standards related to pumps; preparing and reviewing engineering drawings, technical specifications, and engineering calculations; performing manufacturing, assembly and testing of oilfield pumps; performing resolution of manufacturing, assembly and testing of oilfield pumps; and utilizing CAD software such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, Microstation and/or Siemens NX-6.
