Purchase Ledger and Reconciliation Clerk

Purchase Ledger Clerk - Crediton - £21,000        

An experienced Purchase Ledger and Reconciliation clerk is required to join a thriving business in the outskirts of Exeter.  This role is a full time, permanent vacancy.

Reporting into the accountant you would be responsible for managing  the purchase ledger and also take charge of the time and attendance reporting through weekly reconciliations and headcount monitoring.  The bulk of the position will be processing all invoices and identifying queries in a timely and accurate manner.  In addition, liaising with the off site Payroll department, you would complete all attendance records, monitor the KPI and capture inaccurate invoices before payment or supply.

This is an integral position within the finance teams and requires a candidate who has proven experience in managing high level invoices under their own motivation.  Although payroll experience is preferable, a knowledge of the concepts and mechanics of the function is more important.  Strong Excel and other accounting software is essential.   The successful candidate will ideally be AAT qualified, although prior experience of working in a similar position will be considered favourably.
