Purchase / Sales Ledger Clerk

A well-established growing construction company based in South London seek a bright and ambitious Purchase / Sales Ledger Clerk to join their team, operating out of modern offices. My client can offer the successful individual a fun and vibrant working environment.

The vacancy would be primarily working on their purchase and sales ledger, inputting invoices and putting together payment runs. Due to the nature of business there is a great deal of administration on assessing subcontractors, initially, ensuring they have the correct insurances, CIS details, HMRC verification and then maintaining the information year on year. Ideally the candidate would posses experience within the construction sector, however this is not essential.

Applicants will be methodical, well organised and able to work in a fast placed environment. The ideal candidate should have ambition and want to progress within the company. There will be an opportunity for the successful candidate to eventually progress and take on additional responsibilities, which include, credit control, petty cash, overheads analysis, bank reconciliation, and production of management accounts. The candidate should possess strong numerical skills, be able to communicate effectively, and able to use their own initiative to work unsupervised. Due to the fast paced nature of the business, on occasion you will be required to work effectively towards tight deadlines.
