Job responsibilities include purchasing of materials and scheduling of production. Must know how to use word processing, spreadsheet software, Quickbooks, and the Internet as a tool for searching best pricing and suppliers of parts. Other important qualities include the ability to analyze technical data in suppliers' proposals; good communication skills, negotiation and mathematical skills; knowledge of supply-chain management and purchasing/procurement as well as the ability to perform financial analyses. The position requires two-plus years of experience working as a purchaser or purchaser’s assistant. A bachelor's degree in accounting, business or finance and experience with Project Management is a plus.
