This position is responsbile for purchasing direct/indirect materials and services for the The Timken Company, Canton, GA facility. This position is responsible for managing the inventory levels of direct and indirect materials, maintaining inventory and reordering of office and safety supplies, and for resolving payment and invoice issues. 1. Place purchase orders (direct and indirect), track purchases, resolve issues (GRIR, MRBR, 99X, etc). 2. Track inventory and place orders for office and safety supplies. 3. Maintain Vendor Master Data in SAP. 4. Manage Cycle counts and Physical Inventories According to Timken Procedures. 5. Liaison between ICG Buying Center and Plant SRM Users. 6. Drive reduced inventory levels without impacting customer service. Minimum Requirements: HIGH SCHOOL in Business. Preferred Requirements: Associates Degree in Business/economics. Bachelors Degree in Business/economics. Previous Job Experience in HIGH SCHOOL with specific knowledge of 7 years and 5-7years of experience. Previous Job Experience in ASSOCIATE with specific knowledge of 5 years and 3-5years of experience. Previous Job Experience in BACHELOR with specific knowledge of 3 years and 1-3years of experience. Desired: Experience with SAP Microsoft office platform Experience working with vendors Experience with Purchasing Minimum 3 years experience within manufacturing Additional Information: Travel Percentage: 15%
