Client Summary:
Our client is a well respected automotive, Tier 1 supplier of parts to the automotive industry. Their facility is located in Vaughan, and they are growing due to new business in their manufacturing area.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Purchasing, the Purchasing Analyst will be a key member team to provide specific expertise and coordination to their purchasing systems, including acquisition, management, and analysis of purchasing related data.
Qualifications
· 3+ years experience in the purchasing field
· Post secondary diploma or degree or equivalent work experience
· Knowledge of purchasing principles and procedures
· Automotive Industry knowledge would be an asset
· Excellent proficiency in database and spreadsheet tools (spend database, supplier portal, Excel, etc.)
· Must possess good time management, communication, organizational and telephone skills
Responsibilities
· Acquires purchasing related information.
· Designs, builds and maintains databases and spreadsheets
· Configures reports utilizing database information
· Maintains the Purchasing related Databases, website and supplier portal
· Prepares information for Requests for Quotation
· Analyzes supplier proposals and identifies opportunities
· Tracks spend information from Suppliers
· Builds and maintains commodity related databases and spreadsheets
