Purchasing Assistant Job in Banbury, Home Counties Uk

Our client has a fantastic opportunity for a Purchasing Assistant. This is a newly created role due to the company’s growth. Overall you will be responsible for the inspection of goods-in, despatch and stock control and report in to the Buyer.


Responsibilities:


Production Efficiency:
• Issuing of components for manufacture in kit form
• Goods-in deliveries to be checked and inspected prior to storing
• Preparing finished product for despatch


Production Strategy and Plan:
• Adapting for changes in priority/product and processes
• Ad hoc projects as needed


Legal and Compliant Production Process:
• Applying health and Safety polices
• Safety Audits


Continuous Improvements:
• Adapting for changes in priority/resource
• Stock accuracy
• Housekeeping
• Stock management system

Personal Specification:

You will need to be a proactive individual who is able to use there own initiatives, with the ability to anticipate and resolve potential problems and challenges. You will be required to be confidential and use your integrity.

In this role you will liaise with all departments, so the ability to build effective relationships is essential. The ideal candidate will need to be very hands on, practical, organised and self motivated, with a ‘can do’ attitude.

You will need to be computer literate with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and if you have QuickBooks, SAP or similar experience of a stock control system then this would be ideal, but not essential, as training will be provided.

If you have a fork lift license then this is an added bonus.
