Purchasing Manager Job in Las Vegas 89119, Nevada Us

This individual is to manage a purchasing budget in excess of $100M/yr, provide leadership to the purchasing team in the procurement of direct and indirect materials as well as contract services to support the plant operations. This person will be responsible for optimizing the value of goods and services brought into the organization by leveraging our buying power to conduct purchase contract negotiations for materials to ensure most favorable terms. These responsibilities include managing the processes of vendor selection, negotiations, vendor surveys, audits, processing purchase requisitions, and purchase orders and establishing delivery schedules and risk mitigation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage all direct and indirect materials, MRO and outside service procurement.
• Manage the local Demand Resource Planning (DRP) inventories and planning.
• Manage parts for key vendors.
• New Product Introduction support.
• EOM Inventory Reporting and Analysis.
• Repair vendor management.
• Maintain specifications datasheets and tooling drawings for various commodities.
• Review and work with the legal department to prepare binding contracts.
• Strong background in sourcing form areas such as Mexico and Asia.
• Gather data on product shortages, lead times, price changes, etc. to determine if current vendors are meeting contract standards and current pricing.
• Document and monitor vendor quotes.
• Work with Manufacturing Engineering and RD on new product introduction to align supply chain.
• Work with accounting to resolve invoice and purchase order variance.
• Develop strategies using internal reporting to achieve balance for inventory levels and production.
• Analyze Return on Investment for capital equipment purchases and make recommendations to management.
• Effectively develop risk mitigation plans with supply base.
• Other duties as assigned.
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field, or its equivalent.

Experience: Requires a minimum of five years of related professional experience or its equivalent.

• Knowledge of Manage 2000 ERP system or equivalent.

• Must have strong communication skills, able to work independently and be team oriented.

This position may require registration with the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) and/or other gaming jurisdictions in which we operate.
