Purchasing Manager Job in Lincoln, Rhode Island US
Twin River, an exciting 24/7 gaming and entertainment complex located just north of Providence, RI is seeking applicants for a Purchasing Manager who will direct and control all purchasing activities to make product available at the time, place, quantity, quality, and the lowest possible cost, consistent with the needs of the company.
Responsibilities will include:
- Administration of bidding process and evaluation of bids submitted
- Negotiate with vendors on initial contracts or on contract disputes
- Develop and implement efficient operating methods, guidelines, systems, and controls
- Review all requisitions for procurement of materials and services
- Assure purchasing activities are properly interfaced and coordinated with other departments as necessary
- Assure that vendors have complied fully with contracts/purchase orders prior to final payment
- Assure regulatory compliance with state mandates
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
Qualified candidates must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills; demonstrate perceptive and analytical ideals with the ability to induce cooperation in complex organizational relationships; an understanding of economic and business situations; and a minimum of five years in a related role, preferably from hotel/casino environment.
