Purchasing Specialist

Purchasing Category Specialist required by a global manufacturing, sales and marketing organisation.

We are currently recruiting a Purchasing Category Specialist to join the Strategic Sourcing division of the organisation, to implement strategic sourcing strategies across multiple functions in the business. The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for:

+ Ongoing management and cost effectiveness of Preferred Supplier Networks
+ Working with affiliate organisations to determine major sourcing projects
+ Driving change management processes
+ Measuring savings results following project implementations
+ Promoting best practice across the organisation

The Purchasing Category Specialist will need to have the following skills and experience:

+ At least 3 years experience in a Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing or Supply Chain position
+ Diverse experience gained in a multinational organisation across a range of categories
+ A proactive and professional approach
+ Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
+ Excellent customer service skills
+ A second European language would be highly desirable
