The Purchasing Supervisor position is responsible for all tactical and strategic Purchasing roles and activities for the Serimax NSA (North/South America) Region.  This includes ensuring that the proper goods/services are purchased at the proper time from the proper vendors.  This also includes reviewing all current vendors, identifying all gaps in either part supply or pricing, and working to close those gaps by either new sourcing or negotiating with current vendors.

·         Obtain quotes from all items purchased within the Serimax NSA Region

·         Ensure that quotes are available from more than one source (time permitting) and follow Serimax purchasing process for quotation approval

·         Review system reservations to determine the items needed for purchase

·         Ensure the purchase of required items in a timely manner, including review of purchase requisitions and issuance of purchase orders

·         Accurately use the appropriate ERP system(s)

·         Ensure proper communication between the requestor and the Purchasing team is maintained

·         Follow up with vendors whenever delivery delays are encountered

·         Validate new vendors that are sourced and perform performance reviews of currently sourced vendors

·         Ensure all information involving purchasing is up-to-date and current within the ERP system(s)

·         Constantly review and update of approved vendor list

·         Full control of sourcing new vendors from discovery to selection through negotiation

·         Review of current purchasing processes and make recommendations for improvement where needed

·         Follow up on billing issues when required

·         Assist Warehouse Manager as needed in the management of inventory levels

·         Preparation of all monthly reports and KPI

·         Comply with all company policies and procedures

·         Perform other related duties and assignments as required

                    

Bachelors Degree from a four year accredited college or university, ideally in Supply Chain Management preferred.

·         3 to 5 or more years experience in logistics, inventory, and supply chain roles required

·         Strong understanding of terms and conditions required

·         ERP Inventory Management required (IFS and/or D7i preferred)

·         Experience in oil/gas field preferred

·         APICS, ISM, or other certification a plus
