PWM Operations – Cantonese speaking, Associate recruitment

Our Operations team supports Private Wealth Management Sales globally, which is responsible for advising High Net Worth individuals on strategies to build and protect their financial assets through highly customized advice and service. PWM Operations is instrumental in meeting our clients' needs and is responsible for the development, service delivery and control of global private banking; proprietary and open architecture alternative investment vehicles; derivatives trading; bookkeeping, accounting, performance measurement and reporting of either Goldman-custodied assets or custodied-away assets; multiple externally managed account platforms; and multiple custody services.

Responsibilities

Principal responsibilities within PWM Operations include: 

• Assisting clients to open new accounts - execution of the new account documentation, account setup in the firm system and managing funding process
• Managing clients’ daily cash needs  - processing cash and stock movements out to external counterparties and to other internal accounts as per clients instruction
• Trade and confirmation management - Processing and reconciling daily trading-related transactions
• Providing exceptional client service by building strong relationships with clients and addressing their queries needs
• Functioning as a key liaison to other areas supporting PWM clients including Control, Legal, Compliance, and other Operation teams
• Identifying areas for improvement to increase efficiencies and working with technology and project teams to implement solutions

Note: Other job responsibilities may be added over time as the build out of the PWM Ops Middle Office team evolves.

Experience / Skills / Systems Requirements

• At least 5 years of work experience with previous client service experience
• Cantonese language skills (Business level)
• Strong leadership skills to effect self and team management and communication at all levels
• Highly motivated and results orientated, have a high level of self initiative to challenge and improve processes
• Strong understanding of risk and control framework in operations
• Has good interpersonal skills to establish strong client, business and federation relationships
• Able to manage multiple task or projects and manage deadlines effectively
• Strong team player who is able to work under pressure
