PWM Technology Asia Pacific Senior Manager, Executive Director – Hong Kong recruitment

Job Summary Responsibilities:

This position is for a senior business analyst/project manager for Private Wealth Management (PWM) Technology in the Asia Pacific Region based in the Hong Kong office. The candidate will partner with the PWM business leaders in Hong Kong, Singapore and Beijing to budget, plan and implement technology solutions in support of the business.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with the PWM Business and Federation Leadership (the Federation consists of non-revenue producing groups at GS such as Operations, Controllers, Compliance, Tax, etc.).
• Oversight for team of 2 business analysts in the region and management of tasks and workload on a daily basis. The candidate will be responsible for the team members’ career development, reviews, etc.
• Provide day-to-day support to the PWM business users on the PWM applications
• Support full development lifecycle for projects impacting the region. Responsible for drafting scope and requirements documents, liaising with the global development teams located in New York, Salt Lake City, London and Bangalore, organizing and coordination of User Acceptance Tests
• Quickly learn and understand the PWM business and become expert with PWM tools such as the PWM Desktop, CIO Tools, client reporting, custody flows, etc
• Actively engage with vendors who provide software and services to the PWM business. Maintain relationships and interface with them on the development of enhancements and functions in support of the business.

Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 12 years of experience with an emphasis on business analysis and project management.
• Previous experience in Private Wealth/Wealth Management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in managing large scale development projects. Familiarity with the full development lifecycle
• Proven track record of working with senior leadership in an organization, both with IT and the business stakeholders
• Vendor relationship management skills. Can coordinate vendor development efforts with internal development efforts
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to balance between tactical and strategic solutions in order to meet commercial goals
• Strong commercial mindset

Preferred Qualifications:
• Fluency in both in English and Mandarin
• Knowledge of the China markets and regulatory environment
