They have a highly dynamic, technology centric environment that looks to empower individuals to work autonomously on projects whilst contributing to overall team objectives. Due to significant growth in market share and the ever increasing utilization of bleeding edge technology, they are now looking for an additional Python developer to join the Algorithmic Trading team.
Team Description:
The Algo Trading IT Team is the most business facing technology team within the firm. They sit on an open-plan desk with the Traders Quants and assist in the creation and implementation of automated trading strategies. These strategies rapidly identify and execute on pricing inefficiencies for capital gain.
Role Description:
This role will require a developer to prototype, implement and test new trading strategies produced by the traders/quants. This is a highly time-sensitive environment where the need for high performing, scalable and structured solutions that are delivered quickly is required – hence the use of Python. This position is to work in a best in breed technology team where development standards are market leading and ever evolving.
Role Requirements:
- Strong Object Orientated design skills developed in real-time environments.
- Exceptional Python programming Skills 3-5yrs+.
- Experience in a secondary development language (Java/C++ / C#).
- Strong Mathematics Understanding
- Knowledge of Data Structure and algorithm design and selection.
- Knowledge of Python Based unit testing techniques.
- Experience with Databases – SQL (Desirable).
- Candidates must possess eligibility to work in Australia
