My client are at the forefront of mobile satellite services with a fleet of satellites in double figures they are multiple award winners and leaders in their field, offering a truly state art environment to work in.

Recently winning a HUGE contract with US aerospace manufacturer they are in a fantastic position to expand their business in the coming years. The successful candidate will be expected to continue development and maintain my clients Intranet; Business Applications; and Document Management System, in a heterogeneous (but mostly Python) environment. To achieve this they will need experience in designing and building high quality web applications; and in all stages of the software project lifecycle, from requirements analysis to final deployment.

• Experience with UNIX/Linux
• Knowledge of RDBMS principles SQL; and experience in Oracle and MySQL.
• Strong experience in Python (Preferred) or Perl/Ruby.
• Experience with a Scripting MVC Web Development Framework, e.g. Rails; Pylons; Django; Turbogears; or Catalyst (Pylons a bonus).
• Javascript (especially JQuery).
• Proven experience designing and building web-based business systems.
• Standards based HTML/CSS skills.
• Experience using and writing Web Services (SOAP/REST).

Desirable knowledge and skills:
