Leading global Investment Bank is recruiting a Lead Python Developer for a Greenfield Derivative Risk and trade processing platform. Products range from high volume listed products to highly complex over-the-counter structured derivatives.
The trade processing suite is responsible for trade capture, event position management, and feeds to downstream systems such as accounting and legal documentation. Products range from high volume listed products to highly complex over-the-counter structured derivatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with subject matter experts to ensure that the solution meets business needs.
- Build a stable, efficient, scalable cloud based solution which will be deployed globally.
- Design and code a significant amount of a robust, secure and efficient API to persist / retrieve data and implement the business logic
- Integrate the back-store in a testable, supportable framework that will scale in the production environment and require minimum operate costs.
Essential skills
- Strong hands-on experience and recognized expert on Java, C# and C++. The candidate must be able to answer the toughest questions on these languages.
- Deep understanding of the mechanisms behind large-scale distributed systems, including low-level considerations.
- Very pro-active , delivery focus , strong experience on Agile programming
- Very good knowledge of one or several scripting languages (Python, Perl, Ruby .etc.)
- Strong OO design skills with in-depth knowledge of object modelling and design patterns.
