Python Developer – Specialist Hedge Fund
A leading Hedge Fund in London seek a Python Developer to join their Front-office team. The role will be part of a small team of developers and traders, working directly with quant teams and across the groups entire IT Infrastructure. This is a technology focused group, with most of the development being done in Python, there will also be use of .NET and SQL technologies, with latest frameworks used where possible. It’s a very hands-on role and will be particularly relevant for someone that wants to be working in the front office, and getting high exposure to the financial sector.
This is an exceptional opportunity to work in a technically challenging environment, developing cutting edge software using Python. The role will be particularly interesting for those interested and passionate about working in Finance, as the role can evolve into a trading / risk / quantitative role in the future, should candidates be suitable. Required Skills
- In-depth experience with Python programming
- Experience working in Linux environments
- SQL experience (ideally on data warehousing)
- Good understanding of computer systems and experience taking ownership over projects
- Full Development lifecycle experience desirable
- Ideally candidates will have experience working in Financial environments
- Interest in Finance / Trading essential
