Vinny is a free and independent consumer-based app that reveals the dealer cost for used cars. Our aim is to change the way used cars are bought and sold forever. http://myvinny.com.
We are seeking an a Python Developer/Data Analyst to join our team on a full-time contract-to-hire basis. You will be joining our technology team and will be responsible for software design and development of our api and data processing layers. You will be reporting directly to the CTO and working closely with the executive team. We are looking for an individual who will become a leader in their area of expertise as we grow.
This position is open to off-site/remote candidates but strong preference will be given to NYC area applicants.
Skills Requirements
You must have a strong background in the software sciences with a proven record of producing elegant designs and writing clean code. Mastery of python is an obvious must but strength with other languages in addition will give you an advantage. Candidates with a foundation in data-science, machine learning, mathematics and data processing will be given preference.

We are an Angel invested start-up, with a proven product. Our app has amassed over 70K users with a 4-star rating in the iTunes and Google Play stores. Our development methodology is agile, loosely based on scrum. We are relaxed about work environment and schedule and our focus is on productivity and output.
The rate of compensation will be based on the level of seniority and accomplishment of the candidate. If you are a good fit with the team and the culture this can grow into a full time employee role. A stock option incentive plan is in place to compensate star players who move into senior leadership roles as we grow.
