QA Analyst
- Analyze Business, Functional and Design Specifications
- Execute system test plans and test cases
- Perform moderately complex tests to ensure code is functioning as defined
- Set-up, configure and help maintain system test environments
- Maintain documentation of all test results
- Provide test status and metrics to management and/or team leads
- Debug and characterize defects, provide detailed configuration and define criteria for passing and failing tests for test reports
- Ensure that defects and requirement variances are being appropriately communicated to development for correction
- Verify adherence to documentation standards
- Participates in the software development functional and technical design phases
- Provides inputs into formal test schedules and estimates
- Provides support to the software development life cycle post-implementation/deployment phase as required
- Interfaces with Product Design and Development
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent preferred
- 2+ years overall Software Quality Assurance experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Automation experience highly preferred
- Technical skills desired/ Tools experience: NUnit or any xUnit Testing Framework, WATIN, WATIR, Developer Tools (C#, Visual Studio 2005- 2010), MS Applications (Virtual PC, Virtual Server), MS Servers (SQL server), .NET Framework (1.1- 4.0), MS Operating Systems, MS Office Suite, VMware, Team Track, HP Quality Center
- Experience in a multi-tier architecture
- White box and black box testing experience required
- Development background a plus
- Experience in Online Banking Web application testing a plus
- Must have excellent troubleshooting skills
- Solid mainframe and/or distributed testing skills
- Solid functional and systems regression test experience
- Must have the ability to create a test plan, develop procedures and execute tests with minimal supervision
- Must be able to implement improvements into test processes and practices
- Ability to build and execute automated regression test scripts required
