Current Need

Position is located at our North Druid Hills office.

1. Perform end user testing of new and existing ePrescribing (eHealth) applications functionality.

2. Participate in release testing working within a specified timeframe.

3. Builds and executes functional, application, regression and performance tests.

4. Assist Customer Support department regarding client reported issues and product functionality questions.

5. Document system problems clearly and concisely and work with the other departments to develop a resolution. Perform minor database management.

6. Perform database queries within SQL Server database.

7. Assists clients with application functionality, as needed.

8. Researches and develops an understanding of the business requirements for the product features being tested, including how the users use the features and their performance requirements for the features.

9. Designs test cases for assigned modules, builds test systems and when applicable automates tests.

Position Description

Evaluates and tests new or modified software programs and software development procedures used to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to establishment guidelines. Writes, revises, and verifies quality standards and test procedures for program design and product evaluation to ascertain quality of software. Reviews new or modified program, including documentation, diagram, and flowchart, to determine if program will perform according to user request and conform to guidelines. May review computer operating log to identify program processing errors. Tests program for validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and conformance to establishment standards. May identify differences between establishment standards and user applications and suggest modifications to conform to standards. May conduct compatibility tests with vendor-provided programs.

Additional Knowledge Skills

Required Experience:

Must have 4+ years of strong QA experience with understanding of Healthcare (Medical or Pharma).

Transaction based Processing.

Required understanding of either (NCPDP, ANSI X-12 or HL7) transaction sets.

NCPDP SCRIPT Transaction Sets including NEWRX, REFREQ, REFRES, RXCHG, RXFILL, and CANRX

Required understanding of the ANSI X12 Transaction Sets including - Eligibility Inquiry (270) and Eligibility Response (271)

- Experience in web-based testing (Web services, Windows Communication Foundation, ASP.NET)

- Experience writing T-SQL queries

- Experience with HP Quality Center

Additional preferred experience;

- Pharmacy Transactions - NCPDP 5.1/D.O.

- Experience with XML

- Exposure to CMMi based SDLC process

- Previous Business Analysis or Technical Writing experience a plus

Minimum Requirements

4+ years experience in software and/or program testing.

Education

4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
