QA Analyst recruitment
The successful candidate will be a full time member of the High Touch Technology (HTT) QA team. The role is to support both Cash Equities and Portfolio testing requirements. The role provides an opportunity to learn and understand all aspects of testing, with exposure to equity trading workflows, algo trading and working with downstream / back office systems that are responsible for booking and settlement.
Initially the role will be focused on release regression testing, testing existing functionality as well as working with developers and business analysts to build up test packs for new functionality. Once established in the role, the candidate would be expected to contribute and drive forward automated testing. This is seen as an integral part of moving forward toward to a more agile development methodology – by embedding the values of QA and continuous improvement throughout the development lifecycle. This will require the candidate to demonstrate the basics of Java programming.
- The successful candidate will be required to
- Work within a small 2 person team supporting all HTT QA testing requirements.
- Interact with other teams to facilitate front to back testing.
- Create well defined test packs and maintain the integrity of the regression pack.
- Drive the development of automated testing tools
RequirementsRequired:
- Previous experience with Fidessa
- Previous experience working in a Banking or trading environment
- Strong communications skills.
- Willingness to work independently and manage activities without supervision.
- Take ownership of tasks and work methodically through to conclusion.
Desired:
- Experience of basic Java programming.
- Experience of capital markets
- Good understanding of the SDLC
- Experience of Unix / Linux platforms.
- Experience of Jira and Quality Centre
