QA Automation Engineer

Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform feasibility analyzes to determine automation needs based on existing testing capabilities
- Estimate automation projects and build a business case for automation
- Lead an automation project from conceptualization to implementation
- Enforce adoption of automation best practices throughout the testing SDLC
- Be familiar with automation technologies, tools and best practices and act as a thought leader for automation efforts across the organization
- Coordination of Quality Assurance offshore / onshore team efforts for the assigned initiative
- Work concurrently on several projects, each with specific instructions that may differ from project to project
- Ensure that quality processes are carried out through all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle
- Work with business partners, systems analyst, designers and programmers to create/analyze required project documents and produce quality assurance/testing related deliverables (test strategy, test plans, test scenarios/cases, testing project plans, execution metrics, etc) for a complex multi-interface enterprise application.
- Participate in analysis and design walkthroughs, as well as project meetings
- Estimate quality assurance effort on approved projects
- Manage towards results, by process, with facts and with continuous process improvement in mind
- Work with others through coaching and mentoring to ensure tasks are completed on time
- Work with project team to identify risks if quality assurance process is not followed
- Ensure process improvements are documented and incorporated in the quality assurance process

Requirements:
- 5+ years of IT quality assurance lead experience with all phases of testing (test planning, data setup/management, execution, validation, results review) in context of system/functional, integration, end-to-end, user-acceptance and performance testing
- 4+ years of testing automation knowledge and experience using tools like Quality Center and Quick Test Pro (or similar automation framework for testing) and best practices for using these tools.
- 4+ years experience leading onsite-offshore teams
- 3+ years of test estimation, resource planning, demand-capacity management and release planning experience
- 3+ years experience building and managing project plans with focus on testing phases and dependencies
- Bachelor's Degree
