Imagitas, a subsidiary of Pitney Bowes located in Waltham MA, is seeking a Software Test Engineer who will be responsible for front-end, back-end, regression, integration, and system testing of an application using exploratory testing methods and automated scripts. www.imagitas.com Description: We are seeking a highly energetic and self-motivated Engineer to work on various challenging projects with focus on test automation in our fast-paced organization. Basic job responsibilities include: With guidance from lead, you will help define test automation for various projects with the existing QA team, review product specifications, contribute to test harness, automate tests, execute test plans, and participate in defining/selecting appropriate test tools in delivering a high quality product. Creating scripts for doing multiple iterations using Selenium automated tools. Conducting database testing which requires developing advanced SQL queries Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality recommend corrective action Writing test plans and scripts for tracking requirements and defects Participating in test strategy sessions and peer reviews of test cases Working directly with analysts and developers to investigate software defects and accurately and clearly reports those defects in Rally System · Review requirements and specifications early in the project cycle. · Prepare test plans to test against the above requirements and specifications. Work very closely with Various IT parties: Business Analyst, QA, developers, DBA, System engineers in the context of an agile sprint This is a contract (buffer) to regular position. Technical Skills: Experience with automated test tool Selenium and Scripting using Ruby/Java Experience as agile automated engineer who has implemented test frameworks and automated test suite in place for web applications. Hands on experience with open-source test tools like Selenium Grid, JUnit, TestNG,Maven/Ant, Flex Testing tool like FlexMonkium etc. Proven work projects to automate GUI, backend, and continuous integration tests QA experience testing applications in a J2EE Java environment working within formal QA test cycles ( Agile with short cycle iterative releases). Experience with SDLC and Quality Assurance / Software testing practices Good in writing database queries and ability to debug stored procedures Strong skills set in Oracle and Database concepts, SQL scripting, PL/SQL, debugging Stored Procedures, Triggers, familiarity with TOAD. Demonstrated experience in Web Application Development (HTML/CSS, Perl, JavaScript). Understand concept of web services and create web services clients for functional testing.
