QA Engineer
Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated QA tester with strong analytical skills and hands on manual testing experience to join our team and work on our Electronic Trading Systems and their interfaces. Must be strong Individual contributor and be able to work as a part of the Team, deliver expertise in a variety of software QA concepts, practices, and procedures. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. This position covers testing a variety of applications within the company and reports to the QA Manager.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for all aspects of the QA cycle for assigned projects
• Analyze business requirement documents and work closely with development, product and test team in reviewing and clarifying functional and non functional aspects of the application
• Develop Test Cases, Test Strategies and Test Plans that will ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Apply Object and detail oriented approach methodology for requirement analysis using use cases, workflows, activity diagrams, data process modeling.
• Conduct manual hands on functional, and system integration testing; report, track and follow up on issues in a timely manner
• Work closely with technical and non-technical peers and senior management to promote successful delivery of products and services
• Support continuous improvement of the current test process
• Flexible in managing changing priorities. Must be able to adhere to set deadlines working in high-pressured environments.
Education/Experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or other related degree.
• 5+ years experience in software testing and analysis, formulating executing test cases, defect tracking and reporting.
• 3+ years hands on testing experience of real time electronic trading applications, preferably in FX or Equities. Experience in other financial markets is acceptable.
• Working experience with FIX protocol, messaging, connectivity, and communication, using VeriFIX, Aegis, or similar FIX testing tools.
• Experience in testing Buy/Sell Side Order Management Systems.
• Experience in formal testing/benchmarking methodologies.
