QA Engineer – Credit Risk IT recruitment
Risk IT delivers IT services to the Investment Bank's Risk Control business function encompassing Credit Risk and Market Risk. For Credit Risk, IT manages a current application portfolio of 20+ applications and is running a major Risk Renewal programme including replacing the key parts of the Credit Risk platform.
As the successful candidate your job will have overall accountability for the test automation framework for Credit Risk, plus provide critical technical support for vendor QA engineers to understand domain and F2B (End-To-End) testing.
As part of this, key elements of the role include:
- Handling Credit Risk F2B testing and working with Vendor employees to build up the domain knowledge
- Building the automation strategy for ETL/Transformation testing
- Building the QA Infrastructure for automation development (ETL/Transformation, GUI and Performance testing)
- Implementing automation framework to support all Credit Risk Management system at Risk IT
- Analysing batch execution result through process with job dependency (feed load/ETL and workflow …)
- Partnering with developers and development mangers to ensure code drop/deployment process standard are attained
- Ensuring F2B testing are planned and executed
- Working closely with the Risk IT Application Team to ensure testing activities are coordinated with support processes such as software deployment and customer integration
As the ideal candidate you will have the following skills / experience:
- Good experience of QA methodology
- Experience in DB Server/ETL, SQL Server, Java, Perl, UNIX Shell Script and VB Scripting
- Extensive skill in QTP (descriptive programming language)
- Experience in LoadRunner
- Experience Server monitoring tools
- Experience in batch execution and analysis result with dependencies through the sequence of event
- Risk QA domain background preferable, and have worked on Risk management platform
- Strong understanding of different software development life cycles (waterfall iterative Agile) and contemporary software quality assurance process and automation tools
- Any exposure to Basel II or III would be beneficial, but is not essential
- A great team player and have sense of urgency
- High standard of quality product delivery
- Strong analytical skills and process oriented
- Degree or equivalent educated in Computer Science or Engineering (or similar)
