QA Engineer
My client is a world leader in technology and advertising. They require a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their QA team.
The QA Engineer will work closely with the QA Manager, Business Development and Engineering departments to ensure the effective function of the product.
Role Responsibilities required for the QA Engineer:
· Testing beta and live product
· Writing and developing testing specifications
· Develop and execute standardized testing procedures
· Testing Java Servlets and and JavaServer Pages (JSPs)
· Writing automates system tests
Essential Skills Experience required for the QA Engineer:
· Previous experience as a software tester for web applications
· Previous experience testing Javascript, Java Servlets and JavaServer Pages (JSPs)
· Experience testing web applications through web browsers such as Firefox
· Excellent communication skills
· Ability to work independently or as part of a team
· Flexibility to work outside of business hours if necessary
· Bachelors degree in Computer Science or relevant qualification
Desirable skills required for the QA Engineer:
· Previous experience working within an Agile development/testing environment
· Experience with working with databases - e.g MySQL
· Writing Automated Test Cases with Selenium
· Linux experience- ideally Debian
· Experience with Junit
· Build automation experience, Hudson/ QTP/ Selenium
· Experience working in distributed teams
