QA Engineer recruitment
We are looking for a creative, intelligent and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to serve as the in-house expert with regard to quality systems, applying software disciplines and methodologies to testing Lewtan’s products. This individual would report to the Senior Director of Development and would be responsible for performing software quality tests and identifying performance issues. As well, the QA engineer will have a deep understanding of the currently employed technologies, data models, application functionality, development and release process.
The QA Engineer will facilitate communications and coordination of tasks between various groups within Lewtan to meet deadlines, provide services, and assess and advise with best practice for enhancing application quality in terms of development process, release and support.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The following criteria must be met in order to be considered for the position:
- 5-7 years quality assurance and release experience
- B.S. Computer Science/Engineering degree; master’s degree will be a plus
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to design efficient, thorough test plans for software features
- Understand the entire SDLC process including reviewing business/functional requirements, understanding full testing capabilities, creating test scripts. tracking bug reports, and ensuring quality with regression tests.
- Proven track record of understanding problems and needs prior to giving estimates, design or coding
- Skillful with Microsoft .NET environment
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- Knowledge and experience in structure finance will be a plus
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Participate in full life cycle development of system components
- Conducts software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments
- Create, prioritize, and track software issues in a bug tracking system
- Design test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures
- Design/develop automated testing tools
- Create and track project plans
- Help troubleshoot production issues
- Participate and assist software deployment and validation
- Evaluate data processing proposals to assess project feasibility and requirements
- Prepare and review operational reports or project progress report
- ‘Lead by example’ to establish a positive and strong working relationship across all groups to ensure assignments and projects proceed smoothly
