QA Manager recruitment
Key responsibilities
·Act as the primary testing resource for the development team, developing and executing test scripts in accordance with release plans and existing process.
·Continue to improve the QA process, with particular emphasis on increasing automation
·Become a subject matter expert on service functionality
·Assist and advise solutions staff on testing project and business solution deliveries
·Manage a team of 1-2 people (which is likely to grow)
·At least 3 years experience of working in a QA team at a software vendor or service provider, ideally in the field of financial software.
·Good knowledge of standard software testing processes.
·Experience in testing browser-based user interfaces
·Experience and ability in writing test scripts and documenting testing processes
·Understanding of automated testing and ability to implement automated tests, with a strong preference for those with experience using Selenium and Fitnesse
·Reasonable knowledge of SQL and good general technical grounding.
·Experience using standard bug tracking systems (and especially Jira) desirable
·Ability to lead the QA function autonomously
·Some financial domain exposure in one or more areas such as post-trade processing, SWIFT/FIX messages, reconciliations is desirable
·Experience working with offshore resources
·Can-do, hands-on attitude
