The QA Manager is responsible for the overall success of the test effort. The role involves quality and test advocacy, resource planning and management,
defect management, reporting and tracking of test metrics. Act as the main contact interface to the test team Technology and LOB Understand the testing effort by analyzing the requirements of project.
Responsibilities:
- Estimate and obtain management support for the time, resources and budget.
- Organize or participate in the testing kick-off meeting.
- Define the Test Strategy.
- Approve test plan for tasks dependencies obtain stakeholder approval.
- Ensure content and structure of Testing documents is documented and maintained.
- Document, implement, monitor, and enforce all processes for testing Check / Review the Test Cases documents.
- Keep track of the new requirements / change in requirements of the Project.
- Escalate test related issues to Project Manager / Sr. Test Manager.
- Organize the status meetings and send the Status Report (Daily, Weekly etc.) to the team Attend the regular LOB/DEV call and discuss the weekly status with the team.
- Report on testing activities test testing results, test case coverage, required resources, defects discovered and their status, performance baselines etc.
- Ensure the timely delivery of different testing milestones.
- Prepares / updates metrics dashboard at the end of a phase or at the completion of project.
- Minimum of 8 years experience in Quality Assurance, Testing and/or Project Management.
- Experience managing teams on and off shore
- Working knowledge of both Manual and Automated testing
- Experience creating test scripts
- Experience defining overall test strategy
- Experience testing Data Warehouse, Data Migrations (ETL), and Integrations - Informatica
- Proficiency in Back-End testing, familiarity with hierarchical and relational databases, and develop SQL/PL*SQL queries to interact with Databases
- Banking/Mortgage Servicing, Default and Financial transaction experience is a plus.
