QA Manager

International challenge for an experienced QA Manager.

OUR CLIENT
Is a new food business with a brand new facility. The new factory has recently emerged from pre-production trials to full scale production and is launching multiple products into local and regional market places.
The business is located in Azerbaijan on the Caspian Sea. The region is principally geared to the oil extraction and refining industry and has created opportunities for businesses to contribute to the wealth creation of the area. There is a raft of information on the region on Wikitravel.

THE QA MANAGER role is an exciting opportunity for a resourceful, food industry professional with a background that includes four or five years' experience running a QA Function in the food industry.
This is a wide ranging and challenging role, ensuring the company quality deliverables match and exceed expectations. You will :-
• Create, Implement and Manage in conjunction with the Technical team and all Operational functions a Quality System that will allow accreditation of the Sites and deliver a world class standard (initially to a BRC (or equivalent) standard).
• Drive people and process to ensure effective communication and appropriate action to achieve 100% compliance with quality standards
• Utilise line control systems to focus production teams to ensure compliance with quality standards
• Ensure that excellent GMP standards are developed and maintained at all times and ensure team approach of continual improvement in system and techniques.
• Manage and control all aspects of the Quality System to ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies.
• Manage and control activities and functions within the site laboratory to ensure testing processes operate to standards and provide food safety and security at the demanding levels required by the business and legislation.

THE CANDIDATE
We can only consider candidates who have significant experience in running a QA function in the food industry - ideally Dairy.
This is a great opportunity for someone who relishes a challenge and is prepared to develop their career in an unfamiliar environment demonstrating resourcefulness and management capability.
• You will need to be educated to degree level in a relevant food science subject and be familiar with the full range of QA functions and procedures.
• Naturally you will be well versed in Microsoft office software and a range of industry standard programmes.
• Above all you'll be a team player able to work well in a pressurised environment and to demonstrate the kind of work ethic that supports the business as it grows.
