Position Description:
The QA Specialist performs quality audits of newly issued policies to ensure adherence with product and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities:
-Review newly-issued policies for accuracy and product requirements
-Perform analysis of each policy for adherence to regulatory, compliance and suitability standards
-Analyze transactions for accuracy and report discrepancies
-Prepare audit logs and management reports as required
-Identify opportunities for process improvements
-Identify training content and enhancement opportunities through trend analysis
-Coordinate assembly of information for compliance and regulatory requests by responding to, researching and compiling findings. Thus reducing regulatory fines and reissued policies
Analyze refunds to ensure appropriate approvals were obtained
-Assist management in responding to audit/Sox requests
-Review audit monitoring reports and report discrepancies
-Assist with documentation of applicable audit procedures
-Analyze audit results to identify trends
-Serve as Annuity New Business Subject Matter Expert for market strategy
-Documents errors and discrepancies
-Prepares tracking reports for business unit's management
Requirements:
-Strong analytical skills, detail oriented, demonstrates critical thinking skills and good time management skills.
-Associates degree
-1-3 years experience in auditing, Compliance, Financial Services industry preferred
-Strong verbal and written communication
- MS Office proficiency
-Preferred experience includes compliance expertise and understanding of state insurance regulations
