QA Tester (SQL Dtabase) Job in Stoke-On-Trent St5 1Rw
Through the growth of our data management services we now have an exciting vacancy for a Quality Assurance Tester to support our Operations department. This role will require your ability to use the system in order to thoroughly test the product to ensure that it is 100% ready to be released to the client. The position also provides an opportunity to work in a fast-growing company with a specialist product which can be tailored to meet the customer needs and requirements.
Duties will include:
* To be aware of the potential impact of new developments and to ensure a thorough understanding of product and risk assessment
* Having an excellent eye for detail and the ability to identify potential threats which may affect the functionality.
* The ability to give a decision that following rigorous testing the product is now ready to go live.
The ideal applicant will have:
* Experience of relational databases, preferably using SQL Server
* Experience of .NET coding would be beneficial, although not essential
* Experience of automated testing tools and techniques would be beneficial, although not essential
* A background in IT or computer technology
* An aptitude for both efficient and accurate working
* An excellent eye for detail
* Flexibility around working hours predominantly around release dates
* Accomplished communication skills and an ability to converse with a variety of internal and external users both technical and non-technical
* A willingness to work independently when required and to drive forward innovations
* A flexible approach to suit business requirements
