Position Overview
In this contract-to-hire position, one will gather and assess information about the various operations in the plant, understand the significance of the information, analyze the information and report it to the and any other concerned parties for further analysis. To recognize any problems either happening now or developing, and contribute to their solution or prevention.
Ideal Candidate:
1. BS Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemisty, Food Science or related
field.
2. Must be able to work independently and have some experience in a production lab.
3. Outstanding, dedicated (long hours and weekends must) and vibrant individual who wants to work hands-on.
4. An experienced science graduate with QA/QC experience and a careful eye for detail.
Key Job Responsibilities:
1. Clean and vacuum work area.
2. Sample collection, inspection / auditing, record and storage.
3. Check, calibrate and operate the Sartorius moisture analyzers.
4. Review production schedules, record pertinent information.
5. Pack and label industrial, micro and whole wheat samples from driers.
6. Run tests on Siliker computer program.
7. Create composite samples of retains and run moisture tests.
8. Moving filled bins to long term storage area.
9. Inspect packaged products for integrity.
10. Use audit form to inspect and record previous shift’s samples.
