Role Summary:
a) Quality Control support to Production
b) Maintenance of quality documentation and GMP compliance
Main Duties:
1. Provide Production staff with Bills of Material, Recipes, Packing Sheets and Labels for the following day’s production. This will include the provision of batch numbers, expiry dates and target weights to enable packers to fill to the volume shown on the label. Ensure production records are signed off by those responsible for the operation.
2. During production activities in the factory, carry out systematic checks to ensure compliance to specifications, standard operating procedures and GMP. Ensure these checks are documented and follow up actions are recorded and completed and any deviations are identified and reported to the QM.
3. Supervise the sampling and collection of intermediates and finished products. All samples must be logged and recorded on the ‘Internal Manufactured Goods’ spreadsheet prior to being sent to ICNE Ltd.
4. All results from ICNE must be recorded on the relevant excel spreadsheet, located in the Quality folder on the x drive. The appropriate status labels must then be applied to the containers to ensure that only ‘greened’ materials are used by manufacturing and production.
5. Follow current standard operating procedures covering all aspects of the QC process.
6. In the case of veterinary medicines, the QC personnel will provide the Qualified Person with the information required to release bulk and packaged products as appropriate. QC personnel should be able to advise the QP whether the product complies with specifications.
7. Samples of raw materials, packaging components and finished products must be retained and archived so that all components are traceable at any time during the shelf life of the product.
8. Ensure that Batch Reconciliations are completed on a monthly basis and the data is passed onto the Production Planner so that stock levels are kept up to date.
General QC functions: the QC will;
1. Ensure that the QM is kept fully aware of any problems which may arise in day to day production.
2. Keep your work area clean and tidy and in compliance with GMP guidelines and observe any health and safety regimes. All instruments and equipment should be cleaned and calibrated at regular intervals and maintained in good working order.
3. Ensure that sufficient labels are in stock and report any low levels to the Group Buyer.
4. Apply GMP principles to all aspects of quality control, in line with Tangerine Group policy.
Occasional Duties:
· Attend staff meetings and training as required.
· Occasional travel to other sites maybe required.
· Carry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, the title of the post and it’s grading as requested by the QM.
